10th Edition of Hilton Vilamoura Golf Cup

Last Saturday, September 16, the Hilton Vilamoura gathered 53 participants in the Pinhal Golf course for a tournament that once again marked the Hotel’s birthday, for it’s 10th edition.In the morning, 53 amateur golfers played the Stableford full handicap tournament, a competition hosted by the Hilton Vilamoura since 2007.
The Reynolds wines were again part of the event with a wine tasting to pass through hole 9 and this year accompanied by three delicious tapas from AL.MAR (oxtail croquette, curd with fig and cod in caco cake), hotel beach restaurant. There was time for a golf clinic with Fernando Nogueira, a qualified professional from PGA Portugal and Golf Director of the hotel, who passed his teachings to well-known Portuguese students – Miguel Costa, Pedro Fernandes, Isaac Alfaiate and girlfriend Inês Abrantes who enjoyed the driving range and event.

After the tournament players took full advantage of the hotel facilities, try driving two Porsche cars and relaxing with a miniature Shiatsu massage with the 7Seven Spa signature.
After the lunch Buffet carefully prepared by Chef André Simões and again accompanied by the excellence of the Reynolds wines, Dinis Pires, Director General of the Hilton Vilamoura, thanked all of the participants present and sponsor partners that made the tournament possible, namely Aviludo, Nevada Bob’s, Reynolds Wines, 7 Seven Spa, Doris Hewer, Golf 2 All, New Style Golf and Porsche. Fernando Nogueira, Golf Professional at the Hilton Vilamoura was delighted to present prizes to overall winners Roger Brandão (male category) and Aida Batalha (female category).
Many of the participants were also welcomed to the stage to receive prizes, resulting from the usual raffle, with prizes including vouchers for prestigious restaurants, Hilton hotel stays in Europe and golf equipment.
At the end of the awards ceremony, the date was announced for the XI Hilton Vilamoura Golf Cup, to be held on 15 September 2018.
